Payments · Hong Kong
Take cards through Hong Kong.
A Hong Kong company, a payment service provider account in its name, and the paperwork that makes the application make sense. We prepare it with you. The provider reviews it and decides.
- Your company, your account
- Provider runs its own KYB
- Fee quoted by email
The structure
Your company. Your merchant account.
Nothing is borrowed. The merchant agreement is with your company, and settlements go to your company's account.
Your customer pays
By card, on your checkout or your Cortana payment page.
- Checkout
Cortana routes it
Optional. The payment goes to this account, beside any others you run. Cortana records it and never holds funds.
- Card payment
PSP account, in your company's name
The payment service provider processes the card under a merchant agreement with your Hong Kong company.
Runs its own KYB
- Settlement
Your company's account
Payouts land in a business account the company owns, on the provider's schedule.
Bank runs its own checks
What you get
Everything the application leans on.
A provider approves a business, not a form. These are the pieces it looks at, prepared with you.
A company that fits
A Hong Kong limited company formed for you, or your existing one reviewed. With the registered office and company secretary Hong Kong requires.
Somewhere to settle
Applications to banks or business-account providers that accept Hong Kong companies. Settlements need an account in the company's name.
The PSP application
We help you describe the business model, products, delivery, refunds and expected volumes, so the provider reviews a complete file.
Website and policy check
Providers read your site. We check that terms, the refund policy, contact details and prices are visible and match the application.
Follow-up during review
Providers ask questions. We answer them with you until a decision comes back.
Go-live help
Once an account is approved, we help you connect it, run a test payment, and route it through Cortana if you want.
Who it's for
Built for real, international businesses.
A good fit
- Online businesses selling to customers in several countries
- Merchants who want a second processing setup beside the one they have
- Founders who can complete identity checks as director and owner
- Businesses with a live website, clear products and published policies
Not a fit
- Products a provider's rules prohibit; we tell you early
- Anyone who wants to hide who the seller is
- Anyone who needs an approval promised in advance
How it works
Six steps, one file.
The company and the account come first, because the provider will ask for both.
Fit check
You tell us the business, products, markets and current setup. We say plainly whether the file is realistic.
Company
We form the Hong Kong company, or review yours, with its registered office and secretary.
Business account
Applications go in for an account that receives settlements. The institution decides.
PSP application
Prepared together and submitted in the company's name, with the website checked first.
Provider review
The provider runs its KYC and KYB and may ask for more. We answer with you.
Provider decides
Live
Connect the account, run a test payment, then take real ones.
What you'll need
The documents, up front.
- Passport for every director and every owner of 25% or more
- Proof of home address, issued in the last three months
- A short description of the business and what you sell
- Your website, with terms, refund policy and contact details
- Recent processing statements, if you already take cards
- Expected monthly volume and average order value
Providers can ask for more during review, such as supplier invoices or proof of delivery. We tell you what to expect before you start.
What it costs
One quote, in writing.
Quoted by email.
We quote after the fit check, so the fee matches the work. Government fees and the provider's own processing fees are separate and set by them.
What moves the fee
- Whether we form the company or review yours
- Which accounts you need, and how many
- How much the website and policies need
- The provider's own fees, set by the provider
Do I need to live in Hong Kong?
No. Directors and shareholders of a Hong Kong company can be of any nationality and live anywhere. The company needs a registered office in Hong Kong and a company secretary based there, which we arrange. Some banks and providers ask to verify you by video or in person; that is their call.
Is approval guaranteed?
No, and nobody can honestly promise it. The provider runs its own KYC and KYB, reviews your business model and decides. We make the file complete and accurate, which is the part we control.
My current processor closed my account. Can you still help?
Tell us what happened in your email. A new provider will usually ask about previous accounts, and the true answer goes in the application. We won't help hide history from a provider, and some histories mean a new account isn't realistic. We'll say so early.
Which card networks and currencies will I get?
That depends on the provider and on what it approves for your business. Before you commit, we list the options that fit your products and markets.
Can I connect the account to Cortana?
If the provider is one Cortana supports, yes: connect it in the dashboard and route payments to it beside your other accounts. Money settles straight to your company's account; Cortana never holds it.
What does the company need each year?
A Hong Kong company files an annual return, renews its business registration, and has its accounts audited by a Hong Kong CPA for its profits tax return. We can arrange the secretary and point you to accountants.
Is this a way around a provider's rules?
No. Products a provider prohibits stay prohibited. The point is a real company, a real account in its name and an honest application.
